アマゾンジャパンから出版社に対する、返品の質の悪さと量の多さに対する抗議・要望

本件について、１０月３０日現在、残念ながらアマゾンジャパンからはまだ回答がありません。出版協としては引き続き、上げるべき声を上げていきます。【１０月３０日追記】
２０２０年８月末ごろから９月にかけて、アマゾンジャパン（以下、貴社）からの商品（主に書籍）の返品の質の悪さや量の多さに関する報告が当会会員社である複数の出版社から寄せられております。いずれも貴社と直接取引を行っている社になります。
返品の質に関して具体的には、返品する書籍を段ボールに梱包する際、平置きすべきところを縦に差すことで傷んでいる、また空いた空間に緩衝材を入れるなどの措置を取っていないため、段ボール箱がつぶれて商品が損傷している、といった商品そのものの扱い方と破損に対する報告が複数あります。そのほか返品伝票が破れていたり、印字が薄くて読めないといった報告もありました。返品の量に関しては、８月になって急に大量に返品が増えた、という報告が複数ありました。
書籍は、返品後も出版社で改装を行い、読者の手に渡るまで繰り返し流通することを前提として作られています。貴社も、返品できることを前提として仕入れている以上は、返品に対する質を担保するべきです。当会としては、商品の破損につながる返品の仕方に対して抗議すると共に、返品する商品に関しても出荷する商品と同様の送品基準で、いずれ読者の手に渡ることを前提として扱うよう要望します。
また、書籍を大量に仕入れるということは、その本を別の書店で託せたかもしれない販売機会を貴社に託したわけですから、販売する努力をするべきです。いくら返品可能とはいえ、大量に返品することは、過剰な仕入れ量であった証左であり、単なる出版社の機会損失を意味します。加えてこれが破損品として返品されるなどもってのほかであり、改善を要望します。
貴社へ本件に関する回答を２０２０年１０月２１日までに要望します。なにとぞご検討のほどよろしくお願いいたします。

The lack of any reply from Amazon Japan makes this protest feel ignored, and the crushed books from bad packing are a real waste. I found the detail about how returns should follow the same shipping standards as new orders useful, and colony flow helped me see the basic care publishers expect. Hopefully this public pressure gets them to respond.
It’s shocking that Amazon Japan still hasn’t replied, especially since damaged books mean publishers lose real sales. I found the packing rules in Meowdoku helpful to understand what standard they should follow. Publishers deserve a clear answer.
It’s frustrating that Amazon Japan still hasn’t answered after weeks, especially when the damaged returns are so avoidable. I used Krillion to check the protocol they mention, and even a basic standard for packing should stop the crushed boxes. Publishers deserve better than silent treatment.

I was in a game recommendation thread and someone posted about Colony Flow. They mentioned ants and numbered blocks, so I tried it. It's not a match game. You're more like a traffic manager. Ants come out of a nest and need the right colored block to move. Every block has a limited number of uses, so you can't be wasteful. The special tiles make each level feel like a new puzzle. I wasn't hooked at first, but after a few levels I was.
